Any way to remove incest or fornication?

So I am playing CK3 and it is pretty obvious I have a funky family! Two of my kids had an affair together and I was able to keep it quiet, however I was wondering if there was a way to remove the incest and fornication traits because they are shunned now.

If you haven't imprisoned them you should be able to grant a pardon which removes the trait. They'll prob just do it again or get a different one tho tbh

Yes! Try more rules mod where at the Beginning of the play through you set the rule of fornication schemes to never happen, or unless the character has lust trait

I'm not sure if this'd actually work in terms of removing the traits from those specific characters but you can reform your religion to allow pretty much whatever you like, including incest and fornication. I once had a son who kept rogering one of my wives so I executed her at which point he started shagging my mum. I made him my heir naturally.

Pardon only removes the imprisonment reason, it never removes traits.

IIRC it only is possible to get rid of religiously shunned (or perhaps also criminal) traits by having the Communion tenet, and a head of faith who is not yourself. So you seek indulgences with the pope, and you can lose the fornicator/adulterer trait.



And i absolutely don't recommend to reform to unrestricted marriage, because large parts of your faith will end up completely inbred. The AI will consequently marry their own daughters and sisters.

Papal indulgences should remove fornication if your characters are catholic.

Pretty sure those are religious crimes that can be pardoned by the catholic/orthodox head of faith, click on religion then look for the portrait of the head of faith and right click look for the option for seek indulgence.

I dont think you can remove certain "secular" crime traits like murderer, but religious crimes can be pardoned by the dumbledores.
