Gnah... damn. Okay, then i am out. Nice time with prison architect, city skylines and CK2. Paradox is now in the black list.
Spend now my money to other indie-games. Byebye.
Don't know what that was a reaction to, but enjoy.

I think it was a response to having to launch the game through the PDX launcher. Which kind of baffles me, if we're being honest, but hey. They're his standards, he can draw the line wherever he pleases.

Most of their launchers let you log in with paradox account, but I don't know any that require it.
Are you referring to the games splash screen?

If i try to start a game now without launcher, the launcher start. But it takes too much data und i don't want it.
Btw: I bought most of the games BEFORE the launcher came, but i can't refund now.
What i wanna know: Did CK3 get these launcher or not. If yes, i don't wanna buy it. :/

Paradox isn't even really indie anymore.

I still don't know if you're going to need the PDX launcher, Steam or GOG will probably do as well.

Because Paradox released their Launcher and you have to install it. Otherwise, you can't use the games you bought already.
Steam -> Start Games -> Launchers starts then -> Start game. - Okay.. not nice, but okay. Problem: The Launcher grabs much data and information. What i want to know, if there are information that the launcher comes to CKIII or not.

Nothing yet, but if I go into steamapps and click on Stellaris.exe, it bypasses the launcher. So it may be possible to run CK3 without the launcher regardless. (Though I'm not certain how you'll pick which mods you want to activate.)

Oh yes, you got me. Everything is a joke. Whats now? Telling me that steam is grapping a lot of data too? google? nsa? china? whatever? - Well, maybe thanks if you tell me that, now i know it.
But, btw, i like people like you. "is this a joke?" -> you know everything about me and my rl and what am i doing? no. hand

Well you seem worried about evil old PDX stealing your data while signed up to a game hub that has access to all your data and requires you to fire up their software to run steam games. Just seems a tad silly is all.

Assuming they mean the new launcher Paradox games have since about a year or two ago, Stellaris, EU4, Cities Skylines, and Hearts of Iron 4 all use it. CK2 still uses it's older standalone launcher.

I can run Prison Architect without the launcher as well. I was curious when people started throwing a fit about having to run it through the launcher when Paradox bought the IP.

You can RUN all of their games without a launcher. You cannot (easily) change mod lists without however.

And yes - You ARE being a tad silly about the whole launcher thing. It's a launcher...not DRM. No one is forcing you to log in to anything that isn't Steam.
