Can you create more then one character per game?

So i don't have the game yet, but every playthrough I've seen has people only creating one character before starting up in the world.

i was really hoping that if/when i play, i could make at least two characters, a married couple to take over a region together and see where it goes from there.

is that possible at all?

without mods, creating more than one ruler disables achievements. but yes you could create multiple rulers before you start the game

for creating a wife and staring married, i think you need a mod for that. i know one is here : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2829316015

That mod is exactly what i'd be looking for, a way to create a spouse for the initial ruler.

Yep, but you can't start with them married to each other without a mod as mentioned above.

Create your character.
Select a vassal title or nearby title and create another ruler to be your partner (I think this would also work with creating an adventurer for you to marry, haven't tried this).
Then start as your ruler and marry them.
