Can anyone please help me? My game is stuck in a Validating/ Updating Loop! :(

Since the before last update my game has been stuck validating and updating in a loop when I try and start. The only way I've been able to stop it and play the game is if I, Clear the Download Cache, in the download section through the top left steam icon. If anyone can help me resolve this i'd greatly appreciate it. Also the game seems to contain all new DLC
