Why is this game crashing all of a sudden
Crashes on loading or just choosing a character. Never did this before I checked validation of file's it was ok what is going on?

yep mine keeps crashing all the time too, thought it was my mods but turns out the game is just broken from the get go lol

Happening to me as well. I splurged and got all the DLC. Game is unplayable but I want to stick around and wait for it to get fixed. Paradox makes fun games and I hope I can play this one eventually.

the game works fine... you guys are having issues on your end. Do what the commenter above said. Delete the documents folder and let the game recreate it.

Obviously backup your important saves before deleting the ck3 folder in your documents folder

I already did that. It’s def the game I think I can’t seem to find a straight answer anywhere else.

It's not the game, it is the environment on your PC so there is some kind of conflict going on. If it was the game it would also not work for me but it does work for me and many others. Not trying to argue with you but you need to understand there is an issue with the install or your pc environment in order to fix it eventually and eventually you will. You need to get it out of your head that you are the victim of being sold a broken game. Go into your windows crash logs and check for the reason ck3.exe stopped working. It might give you useful information. Google how to find windows crash reporter logs. I would literally go through everything. Make sure windows is up to date, make sure drivers are up to date, make sure steam is up to date, I would restart my PC and test.

Have you considered verifying the base game works before throwing mods on top of it? That's important information you neglected to share with the class. If a mod is involved, it is almost always a mod issue.

Ah yes, I do want to use the AGOT mod but I uninstalled it and removed it via steam. I then verified the files and everything seemed to be in order. So I once again installed the mod thru the workshop and have run into the same issue again.

Game of Thrones mod is super buggy. Just crashes randomly quite a lot. That's your problem.
