Landless great conqueror conditions

It seems they nerfed the amount of men at arms you get from camp, how do you reach that 4000 troop requirement now? It was already very difficult to get all the conditions met.

I think some of the unique characters start with a lot of troops. Otherwise, no idea... mercenaries don't count either (tried that). It's still doable without though; I've done it thrice now since they nerfed the camp. The two I don't even bother trying to get are the 20 contracts and 4000 army strength. The rest are pretty doable if you spend your first life prepping for it and then actually do it with a youngish heir.
