Cuckold Paranoia
So in each of my playthroughs since this DLC, my ruler constantly suspects his wives and concubines cheating on him.

Tested with "real father" info, none ever cheated.
The rulers had no paranoid trait, only good personalities.

Either a bug, or some intended change to make the game "harder" or rather more stressful?

Yeah I've noticed this too. My rulers are constantly suspecting their wives of having another. And same with the personalities... also don't run any mods. I assume it's an unintentional bug.

Well who can blame them in a game like ck3 where even a trusting, loyal and chaste soulmate wife can have 5 childs from 3 different fathers :/

We all have been there.

lol I guess maybe it's a joke from Paradox, after people complain so the over-cucking in CK2

Bugs over Bugs over bugs, less and less the traits of characters even matter in regards to the events happening. It's really frustrating and putting a bad reputation on this game.

i had this problem like a year ago, it got better but worse now. not as bad as it was then though

Well, it is definitely very conspicuous. I remember seeing this like once every couple of games, when a ruler actually was paranoid.

But right now it is every game, with almost every pregnancy of a consort. Even if they have traits like Just, Honest, Temperate (on the same person). Lover, Soulmate, doesn't seem to matter.

Yup, noticed it too. Before if that fired it was "oops, forgot to romance my spouse" reminder, now it constantly fires off regardless.

You would think that is all they were doing in ancient times .... but lets face it without war, sex or assassinations this game is pretty boring ....

Also experiencing the "Someone Else" event very frequently. Surely this is another bug for the pile?

I've only noticed it when my spouse has the lustful trait and possibly fickle too OR if you have the paranoid trait. But especially if your spouse has lustful it fires off every few years (and for good reason).

My investigated lustful queen kept coming clean as faithful for decades only to catch her with her lover randomly in the middle of a hunt. oopsy.

These events may fire because there are active seducers in your court, and it probably doesn't matter whether they are successful or not. I use the More Game Options mod to limit the AI picking seduction.

At least CK3 doesn't have the "Surprise! None of your children are yours!" event. I hated that in CK2.

Well there was a event in the original release version of ck3 where you would get event that one of your children was not a product of your loins.
Event picked one of your children and altered its father status to somebody else even if your character was biological father of the child (checked in debug mode) prior of the event popping up.
And it was utterly stupid so devs removed it in one of the first patches.

Great game design though.
