Is there a random start?

Is there an option or a mod that will pick any random character on the whole map as starting character?

Princes of Darkness mod have it as an optional game rule. They call it Rogue-like.

You can also select random lord at the game start in "any ruler" game start selection mode. You will see it ahead of time though and can "reroll".

No mod needed. Click on play as any character for either start date. Then near the bottom right of the screen there is a "Random Character" button. There are 4 buttons in this region of the screen: "Open for Multiplayer", "Back", "Random Character" and "Observe".

Yup, lol... perhaps it's so right in OP face he/she just didn't see it.

Thank you. I remembered watching a youtube vid that used an elaborate technique to pick a random character and even shared a google doc so that if I used my own randomization scheme to produce a number then he had a table that would translate that random number to a character. I thought "that was kinda cool", but surely it would be easier to just have the computer pick.
So, I am pretty sure this button wasn't always there.
