Incorrect, I've done plenty of Ironman crusades and if I chose to favour my beneficiary and got "1st place" in the crusade I got the option to switch every single time. You probably either didn't pick/favour beneficiary or didn't contribute enough warscore in any of your crusades to get the option.
Sure, if you dont Play with Ironman, but then he does and like i just quoted, ironman disables character switching
Except it doesn't disable switching to your beneficiary after a successful crusade as multiple people in the thread attest, your trolling is weak :P
If sharing your experience is trolling... But like i said.. I have never gotten an option to switch while I was playing with ironman on, and I have multiple game files i could share if it's really necessary.
Well like someone that you kept disagreeing with already told you, maybe you never won a crusade ;)
I suspect that you simply never favoured your beneficiary since the UI for it is a bit weird. In any case, multiple people also playing Ironman are now explaining that your interpretation of your experiences is incorrect, I recommend you listen :)
Guys.. it's fine you disagree but I think I'd have noticed if i was loosing all the crusades, especially the games where i conquer most of the world and use it as often as possible so I can't really take that comment seriously.
Never tried being head of faith but it does sound like something that might conflict, considering you normally choose between your own beneficiary or the one preferred by head of faith
Great holy wars launched by a temporal head of faith, such as islamic Jihads or any holy wars by a custom faith where you're the head of faith should just give the land directly to the one declaring war. So there's no beneficiaries or even build up to the war starting with people choosing to join and selecting who in their family they want to get the land.
IIRC the official terms are "undirected great holy war" for the former, and "directed great holy war" for the latter. The option to switch only exists for the undirected ones.
Guess i learned something new, and most likely you're right if he was playing a Christian nation
