DLC?
Are any of the DLC actually any good? One has mostly negative and every other is mixed?

DLC are highly overpriced. Most of the time they have a cool idea that is implemented in a half-assed way. But CK3 players like the memer-streamer content and the incest and the 3D models which you can make nude with ridiculous meme religions.

There are some interesting mods I guess? Wait for a 50% off sale if you are going to play it.

personal thought

royal court is just ok =
court room is neat but not impressive, it just feels like another modifier
hold court feature is lackluster. it doent feel like Interacting with vassals and people
but i like all the culture feature that give flavor to the game

i like the tours and tournaments +
tournaments and activity are ok
additional knights stuff was disappointing. just annoying and half baked
but i really like the travel mechanic that add lots of flavor and immersion

lord of the dead was total disappointment -
legend is another modifier that fail
to add flavor or immersion that it suppose to deliver
disease mechanics is kinda half baked. just annoying
i think it's not worth the price at all

i kinda enjoys all the culture packs =
it adds new mechanic, flavor and looks to certain cultures
but for the price, it kinda lack the contents

event pack like friend and foes, wards and wardens are pointless -
it adds very little to the game,
there are tons of mod that do better than those
it should've been free in my opinion

overall i think...
tours and tournaments worth the money
if you enjoy viking, Iberian or persian playthrough
culture pack also kinda worth it?
it feels like bit pricy for contents tho

but, other than that, other DLCs are not that good
if you have too much money
and dont wanna donate to the people who need help
try it. it's your money. so who cares
I can't speak for chapter 2, but I really enjoyed the chapter 1 docs.

What are you looking for?

There are two reasons people give Negative reviews on CK3 (or any Paradox) DLCs: the associated free patch was buggy, or they find them overpriced. Rarely does anyone say "this DLC makes my gameplay experience worse; I go out of my way to disable it before playing."

So to answer your question, none of the DLC are "bad." Are they "good"? That's a subjective. All I can say is your gameplay experience will be better off with them than without them.

But isn't you saying that none of the DLC are "bad" subjective exactly the same way?

Yes, the sentence "So to answer your question, none of the. DLC are "bad." Are they "good"? That's subjective." Implies that calling something both bad or good is subjective.

I bought the game on release, if I remember rightly I bought the royal edition or an edition named something similar to that, it came with the Fate of Iberia, Royal Court & Northern Lords DLC's.

Not had time to play in a while, just re-installed and noticed there was a bunch more DLC's out that where not out the last time I played, just wondered if any of them where worth picking up as the reviews are not that great.

Just play the game, majority of the DLC features are in the free game.
One you want to pick up is Tours and Tournament, for accolade and holding tournaments and grand weddings/bloody weddings.
(but you can wait for it till Roads to Power is released cause of sales, unless you want it now)

You already have with the royal edition most of the basic Norse raiding, Royal Court you can make your own culture/hybrid.

Just see if it is worth your time or not, to enjoy the game.
