I guess they just wanted to focus on it being historical. Kind of sad really.
Rather, CK3's devs are going for a historically plausible level of superstition, as opposed to late CK2's objectively magical world. It's a stylistic choice.
As for a solution for you, "mods" are that solution.
You can literally talk to god while you're creating a legend, there are some other wonky experiences, they just don't lead anywhere and have no relevance later on, but that's most/all of CK3 events so it's the norm.
Of course, you could read it as being just a dream, but most of the CK2 "supernatural" events were also writen as natural events seen through medieval eyes, like the chess with death being just an exotic assassin, the gate to hell being just a volcano, chthulhu being just a whale, etc...
Yes, CK2 had some events that were more "superstition" than "supernatural," especially early in its run (pre-Monks and Mystics), but it also had events that cannot be explained without magic. 2/3 of the events you chose were objectively not supernatural; vanilla's Gate From Hell is a reference to the real life Gates of Hell (a collapsed, eternally burning natural gas field) in Turkmenistan, and Old Gods' Cthulhu event is restricted to Lunatic characters, and as such lacks a reliable narrator.
I applaud your "death is just the world's worst assassin" RP, but there is no logical way to explain regrowing your mutilated junk through orgies and virgin sacrifice, immortality, a mad king's horse developing the ability to speak to perfectly sane people, etc. CK2 objectively featured a number of magical events; CK3 does not even feature one that goes beyond mere superstition. The only thing objectively magical going on in CK3 is how everyone pays money to Poseidon to spawn boats out of thin air.
Of course, people will often refer to them to say why CK3 "shouldn't have supernatural events" to justify ignoring everything else, even though the example I just mentioned is exactly like nearly every single CK2 "supernatural" event.
OH ♥♥♥♥ I forgot about that event, The first time I defeated Chthulhu in my longship alone and survived, No one believed me, but I didn't care, I had saved the world.....
♥♥♥♥ I miss CK2....I dunno why I don't just go back to it. The devs totally ruined females in this game anyhow making the new models pointless.
Let's put all the drama and antics behind. Ck3 had weird crazy events of its own, but we all dream of thinking we're a horse.
You know the best thing about time? The game you love is still here, and more comes out.
Ck 2 right there my guy.
Speaking of "realistic" I can totally survive cancer in CK3 till 100 anyhow,
All I need is to go on a hunt with one of my lovers and sneak off and get some "Fresh Air and Exercise " for that Health Boost.
Or Host a Feast with my good friends and renew our friendship.
Having a Book that somehow makes you more Healthy?
Cancer....Hah, I laugh at you.
Now, Great Pox....that's another story.....you travel through France and come upon a village with a Beautiful French Woman and lay with her ONE TIME....and Boom...your ♥♥♥♥ melts off :(
