1. Bodonchar munkhag: vassal of kirghiz khanate, the edge most county of the map. Starts of as a bastard, legend says he is the ancestor of genghis khan. Unfortunately after you have kids you become bastard founder of non borijigin dynasty.
2. Mögyer confederacy: the game also recommend this start for a good reason. You can immediately become king, and while the game nudge you to become catholic to become hungarians, I prefer taking all taltoist holy site and reforming it, then hybridizing magyar with any culture with konni raids, then rampaging around europe with horse archers and konnis. They're technically nomadic asian too so.
3. Zhengyi circuit: you can choose to be king of guiyi or their vassal, but nevertheless these guys are extension of the tang dynasty. In history they only expand a bit further into tibet, but maybe you can spread the glorious tang dynasty further this time?
4. Any ruler in deccan india: If I want to unite India, I prefer deccan rulers due to their wootz steel innovation. Basically you can make super soldiers with the furnace building, while at the same time generating tidy sum amount of money.
1066: have to check game first, I almost never play 1066 except when I want to play iberian struggle
I did NOT like that change lol. It didn't really make sense to me that it changed either.
1. Seduce women of religion with "No Bastards" doctrine.
2. Expose secrect that child is yours.
3. No fertile wife/concubines.
I have had good fun getting "Nobody Comes to Fika" and "Mother of Us All". Playing as a pagan African is very different to (central) Europe.
Also, if you have any of the flavour packs (The Fate of Iberia, Wrath of The Norsemen, Legacy of Persia), I can recommend trying a play-through in one of those regions. With the flavour packs, you'll get a very different experience.
Lastly, playing as a pagan in general is also a good idea to try and not have the ball-and-chain of the pope and the Christian clergy holding you back. It's more of a live-by-the-sword kind of experience.
I usually don't marry, and try to get him to die early (especially if his random starting stats suck). MAKE CERTAIN you matri-marry his mother off to someone though before you do, because she will be next in line to inherit, then his non-bastard brothers. The Borjigin dynasty will continue.
Random history jokes aside. I would recommend playing in Tibet, especially a character that is already Nangchos. This is a very interesting religion to play as if you are mostly only experienced with Catholics. Equal society and very libertine. Will teach you new ways to deal with vassals, succession, and marriages.
