How to claim kingdom title
Hi guys,

I need an advice from you. I started as count in Poland, right now I am duke and own around 30% of the Poland land. I know I can get a claim if I own 51% or more. But is there are other methods how can I become a king in Poland?

You need to own the land to usurp or create the title.
The only other way is to inherit it or win it through a war; by asking your head of faith to grant the claim for example.

I suppose you can also marry your heir off to them and potentially have your grandchild inherit the title.

you are vassal of Poland ? The first perk in the right side tree of Stewardship lifestyle will let you start a scheme to claim your lieges title.

Traditionally, the way you obtain claims on kingdom/empire titles that already exist is through marriage.

  1. Marry yourself or your heir to a daughter of a King of a kingdom

  2. When the king dies, his daughter will get a Pressed Claim on his titles

  3. Most faiths are sexist against women, so the princess' claim will only be valid to be pressed in war against a child or another woman. You will probably have to wait for her to die and pass the claim on to a male descendant of yours before it can be pressed

  4. When the princess dies, your son/grandson will inherit the claim on Poland as an Unpressed Claim

  5. Now that your male descendant, who will eventually be your player character, has a claim on the kingdom title, you can either press their claim immediately (generally a bad idea since the AI will often surrender to Factions looking to replace them), or you can wait until you are playing as your descendant, and press your claim via war/Faction then.

While that may seem like a slow process to the uninitiated, it's generally the fastest way to take same-faith kingdoms/empires. While usurping a kingdom requires 51% of that land (81% for an empire) and a bunch of money, breeding for claims is free and only requires one eventual war, rather than several. Definitely something an advanced player will be doing passively throughout a game.

Do note, however, this doesn't generally work with Clan (Muslim) rulers, as their Male Only succession completely blocks the generation of claims for women. Feudal and Tribal characters, in contrast, generally run Male Preference succession, where female children do obtain claims.

That is only part true it don't matter who has the title as the decendents will get pressed claims to both tittles if they don't get it. If the King dies and he only has a daughter, your son marrying her and having kids will give your grandson or granddaughter the tittles your son has plus the tittles the gal has. What I would do if I where you is get as munch land as possible because the confederate partion will slowly take that land away from you and if you are king you can't get it back because as king you can't attack your vassels without declearing civil war, but vassels can attack each other. Edit one way you can get the title of King is when you have enough of the counties you can upsuf the Kingdom title but if you are under the kingdom of Polan you must use the skill in the stewart tree marry or start a fraction to install you as the King of Polan.
