Holy Roman Empire worth it?
Got the option to form the HRE, but it looks like democracy will be a real drag.

At least with the Scots you can suit up a vassal king and hand the poor chump the poisoned chalice of the Tanistry elections.

Presumably this is not an option with the HRE, since it's empire level so won't vassalise and bend the knee to my empire of Irish washer women.

Is there any easy way you can retain the control of the HRE?

You can remove the Elective Law from the HRE with, I think 10K Prestige, but if you can form the HRE, you should be able to do it, because you should have the Prestige already.

Hmm. . . 10K. Kinda of short on Prestige just now, after calling so many allies to take out France as a single claim. Now someone shows up with a claim on all Norway, which should mop up any prestige I can squeeze out of the French title creations.

Who do they think i am, their district elephant hunter?

Democracy doesn't exist in CK3, you should be able to rig the election though if you can't remove the law before your current ruler dies.

A rose by any other name.

Yeah I never had as much fun as hoped trying to corrupt the Scots elections. Seems hostile schemes get preoccupied squeezing taxes or kidnapping royals.

Maybe there's a case for adding a 'Thrice Schemed' perk for conniving emperors?
(Palpatine, we luv you)
