Question Regarding Iranian Intermezzo
Been setting up a Norse Character to do a Varagian Adventure. And I'm really happy with the way this has gone so far and I've been considering doing said Adventure to Persia. Invading Persia and setting up a Norse Religion there and uniting Persia under my Norse Tribe.

But I'm just wondering... should I? Is there any cool decisions that I might have access too? Or cultural hybrids I might be able to make? Any fun thematic events that might happen? Admittedly I dont know much about the Iranian Intermezzo. Sooo...

Otherwise I might invade Frankia, Germany or the Isles and go for more of a historical game but with a reformed Asatru faith.

A lot of the new systems/features seem geared around the clan vassal system and I'm really not sure whether an Asatru hybrid Persio-Norse (for example) culture would become clan or feudal. My suspicion's that you'd get feudal vassals and would miss out on the vizier system, tax collectors etc. but I'm really not sure. Other than that you're mostly just dealing with a kinda annoying and slightly buggy Seljuk invasion mechanic around 1000 CE.

I'm also not 100% which struggle endings would be available to you. You should have Iranian resurgence if you went with an Iranian heritage hybrid or straight up converted to a local culture but I don't know if a non-Muslim could dominate the Caliph, I'm fairly confident they couldn't found a new caliphate and the concession ending's really kinda punishing, or was when it released at least (50 year truce with all involved rulers).
