The problem with rivalry system

I feel rival system is kind of imperfect. In most of my play through, the number of rivals keep on growing as your realm gets bigger. This is well understandable that you are ought to interact with more people.
However, the number of rival is insanely too many. These 2 events make so many rivals.

First, vassals keep on abusing the hospitality of the province I own and randomly becomes rival. Vassals becoming rivals due to their recklessness in my province is really annoying, you absolutely have no control over it. You should at least have an event either you forgive their action and not becoming rival or you enter in rivalry relation with them.

Second, some minor commoners in a prison languish and turn to rival. This particularly happens when you have many prisoners waiting for their liege to pay their ransom fees.

I get multiple dozens of rivals because of these events and they often initiate hostile schemes against me. Hospitality abusing vassals is specially annoying as they tend to make hostile faction against you.

I feel rivalry is a mutual relationship, you and the other needs to dislike each other. Moreover, I feel a bit strange that fiefless lowborn peasants locked up in a cell becoming the rival of an emperor.

Rulers aren't going to pay a ransom for the lowborns so just kill or release them right away. Not sure why you're waiting for commoners to be ransomed?

Well, I guess I'm too lazy to deal with bunch of prisoners. I usually realize their existence when there is a pop up which says I get 10 gold for the ransom, and they may have gained hatred against me at that point.

One: I get popups all the time about I can end rivalry if I want to. Also I rarely have more than one rival and never an issue or even hardly pay attention to them.

Second: Then it is a you problem and not a game problem? Prisoners are great for recruiting knights etc or getting hooks. I have never had one become a rival for being in my prison and would not be wise.

As I said not sure what you are doing but I rarely have more than 1 rival. Using Mods or something?

I use mods but mostly ui and graphics.
The first event often tends to happen when I host activities like grand tournament. When the AI characters are gathering for the activities, they pass through my realm and I get pop up that they have abused one of my subject hospitality. I am not sure if I am missing anything but I do not really see popups to end the rivalry. I can only end rivalry by either killing or seducing.
The second one is well... it would be my problem. I tend to recruit knights and courtiers by increasing lodging standard and invite them to my realm, so there is not so much need for prisoners recruitment. Moreover, if I go for crusade or massive wars, it is difficult to keep up with many prisoners, so I only check prisoners for ransoming. When I check prisoners stats, they have rarely good stats compared to characters invited from character search, so I mostly do not recruit them.
