Bug? Creating a new faith leads to loss of holy war option
No idea why this happens. Have done it twice now within Islamic faiths, once leaving the Temporal head of faith as it was, the other time having no head of faith, with only minor changes (marriage). But both times I now can no longer use religion as a casus belli for invasion. Is this a bug? (Ok one may be because of iberian struggle taking place - will need to confirm once i try to attack a neighbour outside the struggle region. But the other wasn't a game with the iberian struggle)

Nope - looks like iberian struggle has nothing to do with this. Bit of a mess up methinks - whats the point of reforming a faith if you lose the holy war cassus belli. unfortunate bug.

I think the other religions are now considered astray which is not enough for holy war. Are you not able to holy war Catholics?

I mean holy war cassus belli with other religions, seem to have gone. Then - i took control of the empire, and it reappeared. So i wonder if you need to be the exact same faith as your liege to use the holy war?

Level of Devotion? What's it at?... Doesn't it reset to zero when you change relegions...if so...that would be why.

Ah we have a winner. Diverging a religion creates the new religion with zero fervor. Reforming takes the fervor from the old religion.
