Hunts are never succesefull even with 80% Chance

What does the "Percentage-Success Chance" tell the Player?
It seems to have nothing to do with success at all (meaning killing the pray or at least get the chance to shoot it)
My Monarch is a hunter, i have a hunter assistor in my Team.
Mostly my hunts beginn with 50-70% right from the beginning.
Most the time i get it to 80% and the pray escapes *allways!*

I only use hunts for finding plants now

A Bug or what is it?
I dont think i miss a 80% opportunuty something like 20-30x in a row

Same. Failed all 80% hunt chances, I guess number is incorrect.

Get used to it, lol. 95% chance of success of an assassination in reality about 75% in my experience.

I read somewhere that the percentage you see is the 'public events' that everyone contributes but there may also be hidden factors that affect the chance or modifiers that the game cant calculate and so your chance may actually be lower than what is stated. It sounds plausible but no idea if its true.

I don't think it's the % chance of catching the animal, just the chance for some sort of positive outcome. You lose stress, can learn secrets, etc. I think as long as it isn't a complete bust it counts as a successful hunt.

All of my hunts have failed in my latest run. 6 or so.

I haven't looked at the code, but i'm guessing that a way to hunt the animal affect the chances of success.
Say, for example, cornering and ambushing giving you much less chance due to it being so random.
Can someone check that?

I just success a hunt with 28% success rate.

Crazy about 11 or 12 hunts now and not a single kill success.

It all depends on many factors. Your traits and experiences, how big your hunting party is, your artefacts, your Master of the Hunt etc.

I successfully finished many many hunts. did I fail 80% success rate? Yes, many, but I even more often succeed. All good. just keep trying.....
