Send child to university: Can you still do it?

Title says it all. I know you can visit universities as a ruler, but can you have your heir do it?

You need to build the university. Though I haven't done the interaction, I know what you're referring to. I think theyre under dutchy buildings and cost around 1000 coin and a high amount of development on the land youre constructing it on. Look for where you can build one, then start increasing development on it. Another way is to get the tradition that gives you development (a lot) per building constructed.

It has to be your university. That is the confusing part or was for me.

The 30 development needed to build is very high and is basically late era.

Not sure if you start with a university in your domain.

No, the Devs, where lazy, sending a Child to an University only gives the Child a very high chance for getting an TIer 4 Education, but Tier 4 is no longer the best Education Tier.

So, they still need to visit the University, when they are a Ruler, which is a shame for the Devs.

They don't have updated the Education outcome value, to make it even possible, that a Child gets a Tier 5 Education.

Just has to be in your realm. One of your vassals for instance can build a university that you can send your children to.

I was able to without personally owning a university. Not sure if it works with lieges.

Yes you can still send your kids to a University, but either you or an AI needs to actually build one before you can send your kids there. Just be careful because I've had characters decide to use my university kids as a hostage and just send them off. VERY COOL

I didn't see anyone say this specifically, but I might have misunderstood the comments:

(In addition to what the above posters mentioned,) you can choose to send your child to university if you make your child the ward of a ruler in a realm with a university in it.
