T&T has positive reviews currently. But I don't really see the value of it. I expect this to drop fairly soon.
Most of the content of T&T is the in the free update. I think the price is to pay for something free, to support to have more content.
And the events DLC should totally be free but it's not
So I can see why they did it, but I can see why people don't want it done.
As a writer, trust me. It's not. If writing strings were trivial, J. K. Rowling and George R. R. Martin wouldn't have the money they do.
Stated differently, there are 20.7 MB worth of files in the "events" folder for CK3. 20.7 MB of raw text strings. For comparison, there's a D&D book covering the hyper-popular Tal'Dorei setting - just a setting book, nothing much mechanical - replete with full-page and smaller illustrations in full color that's only about 2.5x larger in size and it sells for $25.
What I'm saying is, writing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of text his hard work, even without variables that need to actually function. I mean the entire game is just a compilation of "a string written in C++ with an engine that can render text the way you want". Is the game not worth money because Notepad++ exists?
Edit: Nice, here's a relevant post from someone else's topic just now.
I mainly miss seducing my enemies wives, implant a child of my own and then have the wife betray my enemy so my child can rule that land. Having kids in each realm is the silent win.
Is that back in the game?
Carry on philosophers!!
Yep, that's been in since vanilla. 👍
It's basically called Focus in this game. There are 3 tree's for each focus. Each of those actually unlocks more events, and more things you can do. I know lots of people just get the Heath tree so their ruler lives a long time, but the other focus options often have lots of good unlocks in different ways. So not only do they unlock the way of life style events, they also give skills, like adding a new scheme type, or a new bonus to how you earn money or prestige.
They are also adding to it as they add DLC, making the trees have more options to improve the way of life feel.
