How to upgrade from Tribal to Feudal?
I started as a Norde in Scandanavia and now own half of England but my government is stuck at Tribal. I cannot see anywhere in the game where i can upgrade to Feudal... is it even possible?

In order to become Feudal you need to have the following condition met:

Tribal government
Faith is organized
70% Tribal Era innovations
5 or more development in the realm capital
Absolute Tribal Authority
Distinguished Prestige Level

You are welcome. In order to have faith organized, it needs to be reformed or it can be an already established. Good luck

don't forget the most important thing, GOLD! But strong allies are also very helpful.

You need a lot of gold, i would not upgrade unless i had a good 20k gold in reserve, 30k is better for sure. You need to do some rapid upgrading of your Capital, Your going to have to build a city, and often people drop a second castle as well if your playing small. The bonus troops are nice, but you can also go the money route and get extra cities. I like the extra castle that can also be used as an easy barony for an unlanded son. But strat a side, you just need some major upgrades and the sooner the better.

Till you get rolling you need to be able to Bank roll mercenaries which is also where good allies play in. You will be weaker for a bit till you get your footing so that instant Merc army, and calling in beloved allies is something to be sure is in place when you upgrade.

Another method is to use the Varangian Adventure casus belli and targeting a feudal realm. If you win using that casus belli, you will adopt the target's feudal realm type. However, that's probably not a good option anymore if you already own half of England, since it'll abandon your old realm. But for future reference.

Also if faith reformation feels too restricted, you can mod out the need for holy sites.
