Constant accolade succession

After the patch accolades are stuck in the loop of succession. There's no apparent reason for this. They just refuse ot serve, give their post to the successor (losing glory in the process) and come back. Sometimes they go even further and make my accolade title inactive, despite them still being alive and ready to serve.

I really really hate accolades because of this, feels like the only thing i spend my time with is finding successors. Can't the game just auto do it or something. Then when i find one i have to manually force them to become a knight so i can select them.
