Subscription model has changed?
Hi,

I bought what I thought was a permanent subscription to the game's DLC in a one off purchase last year. Then I saw that the friends and foes thing was excluded (which was a nuisance but not that big a deal) and now I see that Chapter 2 content is also under a new pricing model?

I am quite confused by this. It seems that there has been a rebranding to 'chapter 1' and 'chapter 2', so I feel like I have been sold on a false promise or I have misunderstood. I can't find the page or wording against which I purchased as all pages have been revised on this new chapter language, and my account history seems to show each of the (now named chapter 1) DLC as bought individually.

I remember at the time that I bought Northern lords separately, then enjoyed it, so decided to go for this bigger option for the future releases.

So please can someone help me to understand what I have paid for and what I am continued to be entitled to receive, if anything?

Thanks!

There's no subscription. Once you buy any of the content for CK3, you own it.

You misunderstood or didn't read the first bundle. The first bundle (now called Chapter 1) has *always* been listed as containing the first 3 DLCs + a clothing bonus. Those first 3 are Northern Lord's, Royal Court, and Fate of Iberia. It has *never* been described as containing more than that.

IMO the ck3 chapter blocks is probably the fairest and most transparent way to do this sort of dlc bundling - it's unpopular I guess but preferable to the past setup when many publishers sold 'season passes' at release promising all possible future dlc was covered but then only releasing a few low content packs or cosmetics or on the flip side realizing later they want to keep developing and selling dlc then trying to weasel out of the promises made with the earlier pass sales
I've noticed that most developers now state how many DLCs will be part of a season pass, since they've become more commonplace and have learned from prior mistakes in the industry. Like "includes the first 4 DLCs" or the like
