I have figured out how to make sure I have 80% success rate in pretty much every hunt, but I have yet to actually get anything. After more than a dozen hunts, they have all failed. Every single one. Bad luck, or could I be doing something wrong?

Are you sending the hounds every time by any chance? Those tear up the quarry to where you don't gain items.

I have had two hunts succeed. One was a wolf hunt, and the other a goose (falconry).

It's definitely more difficult, but I've had a stag and boar hunt succeed so far. The trick is picking a good place for the hunt (events like "X sighted" help a lot), having a Master of the Hunt that doesn't suck, investing enough in the hunting party, and then good ole' RNG during.

Hovering over the difficulty I saw that a hunting boosting building was instead making it much more difficult. So I'd say bugs are the answer.
