Dynasty of Many Crowns
I'm very surprised that this decision only provides 1000 renown. Is it just me or does that seem a bit low? Especially considering how much effort it can take to do it.

It can be quite easy using 2 different methods.

1. Create an empire, expand until you have several kingdoms, give the titles to your dynasty and release the Kingdoms.!

2. Get a good amount of female dynasty members, marry them to the grand child in line of succession for a kingdom(matrilineally), wait until they have a child, kill everyone ahead of those children in the line and done.

Great advice! I'm still surprised that after all that work you still only get 1000 renown. :D

1000 when the game first came out was a lot more. They reworked legacies to progressively cost more now. Maybe it was overlooked

Dont forget you're now gonna have 10 "House" allies that you can call FOR FREE..anytime. That translates to 1000's of reinforcements.
The +2 Stewardship for every Dynasty member is a boon as well

True! That's assuming they don't immediately get overthrown by peasants. :P

The second is an Bug and an Exploit and will be probably fixed by the Devs at some point in time, becaue the AI currently only cares about the Direct Heir.

I’m willing to bet my house it is never going to get fixed and isn’t something the devs care to or want to fix.

You also need to remember that independent kings (of your dynasty) rack up more renown per month. 9 kings (since you are the 10th) are +9 more renown per month...108 more per year.

So 1000 renown for "Dynasty of Many Crowns" is just the tip of the iceberg.

If you want even more renown...make a kingdom independent where the king is NOT of your dynasty. Just make sure that all 5 of his dukes ARE in your Dynasty. That's 5 x .5 or 2.5 per month for one kingdom.

So, with the troops you can call in, the extra stewardship and the ongoing renown gain (in addition to the 1000 for just establishing "Dynasty of Many Crowns", I'd say it's a no brainer.

You can always take those kingdoms back anyway (or so I hear 😊)

On this topic...what lands do you go for when the time comes for establishing "Dynasty of Many Crowns"?

Crete, Cyprus...yeah. Usually 2, 3 maybe 4 kingdoms in Spain. Depending on how the Crusades worked you need more.

Oh yeah, Venice.

Lately I've been taking Kaabu and Takrur in Africa and Estonia in the north to finish up.

Any more suggestions?

Estonia, yep lol

I've thought of giving up Wales and/or Ireland...but I usually start in Great Britian and have a soft spot for them. (Especially since I spent soooo much time in Ireland in CK2 lol)

Sorry, but did you not have Royal Court?
Independent Kings are really not needed at all, because Vassal Kings of your Dynasty produce more than enough Renown, through their Royal Court alone up to +3 Renown without any Artifacts.
(This is only the monthly gain, without the Vassals paying Homage or winning Tournaments.

The Devs should rework the Dynasty of many Crown Decision to give something special, because currently it is not worth it

I have Royal Court. Did not know that vassel kings of your line gave so much renown. I'll check it out when I become emperor.

Even so...that doesn't happen until you become emperor. You can start amassing renown well before that with utilizing the above mentioned strategies.

All excellent points! However, that's assuming they don't get overthrown by peasants or an internal claimant faction.

I have taken this decision before at least two times and I know it can be done fairly quickly and effectively.

However, the Iberian struggle can also be done fairly quickly and effectively and you get like 10k renown for ending the struggle.

Just seems a bit off to me.

10k renown!!! Lol

I don't have the Iberian Struggle. That does seem a little much.
