religion recommendation for tall game?

I don't intend to make a big conquest, I mainly thought of staying with a not too big kingdom or empire and maybe creating other neighboring kingdoms or empires of my own dynasty and religion, and I was wondering what kind of dogmas could be useful to me.

I am reforming the pagan religion of Siberia, and at first I thought of maximizing the gain of piety by making pilgrimages, but then I asked myself why do I want so much piety... Warmongering maybe? to declare holy wars on my heathen neighbors, communion would be useful?

Depending on what you want, really. As you stated you don't wanna grow too big, warmongering doesn't sound that useful to you. Great holy wars are also pointless to you: one - for the reason I just mentioned; and two - realistically you will be the only realm with your religion for a long time, so you'll have to do everything yourself anyway. So it's pointless for you to have a head of faith, even spiritual one - he just won't end up earning enough gold for you to milk unless you're actively gonna spread the religion (which you're not planning to). You only need so much piety for a Level of Devotion enough to keep your realm priest happy.

So I'd rather stick to something useful domestically. Esotericism if you'll go heavy into Learning, which is actually a good thing to do since Siberia will be super lagging behind Europe in terms on development and era progress. Carnal Exaltation as it's good to have 25% more fertility to have more people and spread your dynasty through marriages. Pacifism since you wanna play tall anyway. Or even keep Sanctity of Nature since most of your combat will probably happen in tundra.

Agree with Harris. You'll want more development and cultural progress, so will Esotericism help. Warmonger is only useful if you want to conquer lots of territory.
