Best succession law (Multiple heirs)
Hey there

Which is the best succession law when I have multiple heirs? Do any of the laws prevent my kingdoms from getting fractured? e.g I have 2 kingdom titles, but I want to keep them both once my current ruler dies. Sometimes I know a kingdom will be created automatically for my other child.

I’m a little way from late medieval before I can get primogeniture.

I know this might be a stupid question, despite having a lot hours I’m still learning.

Thanks :)

House Seniority or Primogeniture/Ultimogeniture. If you are the house head you can also disinherit extra sons to remove them and their children from partition succession. Alternatively, try to raise your 2/3/4th sons as clerics/holy warriors to disinherit them that way.

If you have 2 kingdom titles, you could try to form an empire, so the second heir will be your vassal and not an independent king.

Personally I would try to take enough lands that you can give away a kingdom you don't actually want at all to your extra heirs, which will remove them from the line of succession if it is enough land, spread your dynasty, and maybe have an ally in the future.

With absolute crown athority you can designate heir that makes house seniority literaly primogeniture.

Additional titles may be created only with confederate partition. House seniority is single heir sucession so son #2 inherits nothing.
