Question about Mongol CB and transfer of land of liege losing it
So i am King of Sicily under AI ruler of Byzantine Emperor. My liege is war with Mongol Empire for CB to conquer Byzantine empire.

My liege loses war and all the Byz land transfers to Mongol Emperor, but me as King of Sicily got booted out to one county King of Sicily in Italy. (i got to keep kingdom, and duchy of Sicily and one county out of byz empire)

Is the Mongol Conquer CB "hard coded" to so player loses all land which is under de jure of CB even when player liege is target? (meaning player cannot be vassal to AI Mongol Empire)

I pretty much tested everything like giving all my land out of de jure byz to my liege and they transfer just fine when under AI controlled me as player gets booted.

What you're describing is kind of confusing.

Did your liege create a second empire title?

Not sure if this is the issue, but the title that is created with the appearance of the 'Greatest of Khans' is a titular title with special high-partition succession (normally not available to tribals). If the liege creates (or subjugates) a second empire title then the lands will be split.

That's the only thing I can think of that would cause a split like that when dealing with mongols.

Also, what are your enclave settings in rules? Maybe the mongol empire was cut in half by land connection somewhere and everyone went independent when the ruler died?

How would i make this more clear

I am vassal to Emperor of Byzantine. I am king of Sicily. My liege is at war with Mongol Emperor who has CB to conquer Byzantine empire. My liege loses war and title of Byzantine emperor and all land goes to Mongol Emperor.

All of Byzantine vassals transfer to under the rule of Mongol Emperor, EXCEPT me who got booted out loosing all land i have in Sicily leaving me as king of Sicily in Italy with one county. (again i'm not war target my liege is AI vassal transfer fine its the player who loses lands).

I lose all counties in Duchy of Sicily to Mongol emperor directly but i get to keep Kingdom of Sicily and Duchy of Sicily, but no counties in it. I do not get tranfered to Mongol empire even when i'm de jure vassal of Byzantine and Mongol emperor is new holder of byzantine emperor title.

So question is can player be vassal to AI Mongol Emperor?

yes you can be a vassal to the mongols, it should be available as a decision. at least it was for me every time the mongols showed up

Ok so i tested and figured out what happens. And i am talking about Mongol Invasion CB.

So got back to drawing board why i lose all my land in mongol invasion to my lieges title.

-In my case mongol invasion targeted Empire of Russia (not even Byz empire as i said earlier).

- My liege (Byz Emperor lost war) and somehow loses Byz emperor title (he does not have empire of Russia title nobody has it). My liege has Duchy of Kiev which is the location that mongol invasion CB war target.

-After the war my liege should just lost his highest title to drop as duke Thrace instead he loses all counties of Thrace and becomes Duke of Thrace in Halyoch (which is out of de jure Byzantine).

-I lose all my counties in Sicily i experience same fate as my liege even when i'm not war target.

-So i got to debug mode and figured out what is happening (AKA why i'm not transfering as vassal to Mongol Emperor.

-Mongol Invasion CB targets title. Ruler owning those land and losing war loses HIGHEST title they own regards if that title has to do anything with war target title (in my case my liege losing Byz Emperor title even when target is Empire of Russia. My liege does not have Empire of Russia title just has one conquered duchy as vassal in there).

-Mongol Invasion CB: any vassal that has ANY land outside of war target title loses all of their counties to Mongol Emperor directly and are kicked out as independent ruler. (they keep duchies and kingdom titles inside mongol empire they just lose all counties inside it).

-So got in debug mode and did lose all land that i was having outside of dejure Byz including all my vassals land that are outside de jure and voila i got trasnsfered as King of Sicily to to new rule under mongol Emperor who now owns Byzantine Empire.

- I think there are two bugs in Mongol Invasion CB regarding what happens to war target title (war target Russia, liege losing Byz Empire) and what happens to vassals that have land outside of dejure war target. (getting kicked out losing all counties inside dejure war target even when they are de jure legal vassals).
