And there are enough fertile lowborn women in this Game and trust me, they are the better spouses in the Game, because they don't wander off, because a Close Relative of them, has become a Ruler.
Or because they've become a ruler (metric or imperial? :D) themselves. I basically eat the prestige hit and marry commoners for this reason, unless there is a VERY good reason to marry someone else. Inheriting another realm doesn't count, because inevitably some quirk in inheritance laws or a bug will screw my heirs out of that inheritance.

Basically i had my heir betrothed just before my ruler died (perk to get the warning) via Grand Marriage.
After succession, the heir was stuck in the knight outfit and couldn't marry his betrothed.
Anyway, here is a link to that official forum with a thread from June saying the bug had been added to their database. Whether or not a patch has attempted to address it, they are at least aware.
