CK3 WON'T MAKE A BYZANTINE EXPANSION

This is the truth. They don't want to do expansion mechanics for the Byzantine empire or other empires. This is bad news because the Eastern Roman empire is the main map of the game.

Their goal is to make event packs. They don't want to expand the game. They want to add only more events.

I've seen their floor plan, but they never talk about making a unique expansion for the Byzantine empire.

They specifically state that an expansion on empire mechanics is on the roadmap.

“Imperial Mechanics, especially in relation to the Byzantine Empire, is another common topic. Empires are generally not very exciting, essentially having the same mechanics as a king does. I believe that there’s an opportunity not only for emperors, but to be part of an empire. In many cases, such as in Byzantium, the Abbasids, or even the HRE, being a part of the empire should be as interesting as ruling it. There are many ways of going about this, but ideally, I’d want to get a lot of differences in there - no two empires were ever really the same, after all.”

Actually they have stated that they want to do a Byzantine update. When it happens is anyones guess, but it was stated that it was much earlier on the list than any sort of map expansion or many of the other things people have asked for. In other words it will happen as a flavor pack or large expansion in the next few years is my guess. They have talked about it in one of the 100's of diaries so i'm not going to bother to figure out which but it was in the last 2 years.

Well, they better also focus on the silk roads because the game lacks silk roads.

The map needs more details and special buildings. For example, they also have to show the university buildings because there is no university building when you establish a university.

The Holy Roman empire is also an important empire that need expansions. The Roman empire is the main map on CK3 followed by the Holy Roman empire.

And let's be honest, both of these empires lack special unique mechanics. They deserve super expansions.

Empires, kingdoms, duchies and counties must be expanded. Baronies, too, deserve a little expansion.

But I still have no clue about what they are currently working on. I feel like silk roads displayed on the map will be good to see, but we need to see more.

In the Floorplan Dev Diary, they also have said, that an Byzantine DLC won't be an Flavor Pack, because it would be too big for it, it will be an Expansion Pack, when they start working on it.

Far to much spanish/norse updates when the East Romans has mountains of missing historical accurate detail

Constantinople has like 2 wonders
Spain has dozens that are not even real wonders excluding rock of Gibraltar







HAN/Greek/persia need way more updates since they are way better and ahead than the whole lot on the map LOL
