I recently played a campaign in the hre and my solution to the partition dilemma was basically to have a good spymaster.
As the game progresses, you always end up eith a few duchies held by female rulers. Adultery is criminal fir women under catholicism, so you can just revoke their stuff and put younger sons in their place so the primary heir gets to keep the domain duchy fully intact upon succession
Even CK2 this work right, I don't know why the Devs have changed it for CK3.
And in Knights of Honor, females have never a chance to become ruler, as it should.
