The best for us players is that they concentrate on what is the game about, Crusaders! CK2 kind of distanced itself from the crusades until a certain expansion where it was developed further.
And yes, I think I would love a Dynasty Kings. :D
Please, remember to speak for yourself as you did with your original message.
Will you be able to survive?
They should focus on that and the crusades first. The rest can come later in optional dlcs. Unless they change the name of their game to Dynasty Kings and increase the time period from ancient China to the early 1400s, bring it on! :)
But I firmly want all the good expansions that are in Europe and the Muslim empire in CK2 to be there in CK3 base game... otherwise why should I even buy CK3 if it does not have anything but CK2's base game? Not worth the money to spend again all over. That is why I do not invest in The Sims games or other games with tons of dlc (I just have sims 3 and that is enough, I'll wait in 2030 to get a new one). I did not buy the new Hearts of Iron either, it is not worth the money to buy all over these skinny dlcs at high price all over again (I have 1, 2 when the dlc disease did not exist, plus the third and that is enough. 4th only changes some thing but is super shallow, no socio-economical layers).
If they have contracted The Sims syndrome, I do not feel like buying anything from Paradox anymore. I have not bought Hearts of Iron 4 because I felt it was a money grab just like HoI3 but with less stuff in it (HoI 3 is much better, although I would love to have the ability to create fronts like in HOI4 but in HoI3). Not to mention that boring and senate-less roman game they have made. I'll never buy that load of dung. Paradox is going down the same path as Bethesda, quantity is better than quality. The last AAA company that I like is going closer and closer to fall down the drain. :'(
Collecting your thoughts is a very important part of the ongoing development.
Regarding the map, it will be flat and roughly match that of CK2. We will however, have a few new additions: the entirety of Tibet will be present, unlike CK2 where the most eastern parts were excluded, and sub-Saharan Africa is also extended, where we’ve gone all the way to the Nigerian coast. We are also extending the map to include more of Mongolia.
China won't be on the map.
I am unable to give you that information at the moment.
I appreciate your understanding :)
Do you mean improvements over Crusader Kings II?
CK3 will feature an updated engine (Clausewitz Engine + Jomini-toolset) with more power to run new features.
Thanks for responding.
I still hope CK3 won't catch the American truck Sim (with their one state one dlc thing) or The Sims disease with a million DLCs. A three or four well-thought thorough expansions and one to three cosmetic/music pack would be enough. I had my fill of dlcs with CK2 and EU4.
Still unsure if the game will be worth buying if you already have CK2. Especially if the AI and rules (armies can go anywhere without restrictions or political impacts) are practically the same. I do not care about graphics since I spend 95% of the time zoomed out, and I am probably not the only one since this is a strategy game.
Cool. Hausaland memery inbound.
Same goes for Heart of Iron series. The diplomacy in that game is useless, nothing works.
