Also the bonuses to lifestyle choices on some artefacts are really good, like +20% to say, stewardship, for example...3 of those and you'll burn through the lifestyle trees.
There's a future for you in politics kid
For example, imagine you're participating in a feast: While at the feast you could choose to interact with everyone attending it positively or negatively... You could embarrass your rival infront of the kingdom, try to amends or even stab them in the back when no one's paying attention(like the trailer showed). You could also try wooing that pretty new courtier, or perhaps trip them into the shackled Lion the King's showing off. The King's throne room showcases several artifacts, so you could try to nab one and hope the King doesn't notice, etc.
OP, I have not played with it much, but i am enjoying the feature. (most of my time has been spent as a tribal duke level leader) But i really like seeing the people, changing who is there, collecting interesting court people.. (gotta have a giant guard! ) So far it's been interesting. It does need a lot of work over all though in the future.
Heck i'd even like to see small page style events happen in the court verse the mini window. Alone at night on the throne when your lover comes calling, or an attack on the king. See it play out would be so epic.
If they rolled Royal Court into the base game they would owe about a million people a refund. I don’t think that’s going to happen.
