For christian nations, the easiest way to get to female succession is starting as one of the few female rulers and embracing a heresy that has equal succession. Just be aware that it will mean your neighbours will be hostile towards you.
I can marry all heirs of equal faiths without issue into my dynasty, because the AI is more than happy with it.
The game is not supported to play with equal faiths.
Only if you take the event, otherwise Daura is equal gender, same for all the other african cultures
