The Nibelunging Saga
I wanted to get Highest level of Splendor achievement, so I decided to play as Count of Chalon in 867 : https://imgur.com/a/tmyyjnc thinking that I will just sit back and let the four Karling giants take care of the splendor.

For many generations I just upgraded my county, aided my Kings (who became Emperors of Francia and took over majority of HRE) in all wars and diverged French culture (Chalonian).

Then came Crusades. I redirected the Crusade towards Andalusia for the Mosque of Cordoba as Christians can hold and get the benefits. I appointed my brother as the beneficiary. Later I got to know something funny about that. We won and my brother became the Holy Monarch. But the surprise part: https://imgur.com/a/e1x4MsF I was the heir to the Kingdom of Andalusia. This happened because my (now) uncle was a order member and hence as a monk. So I inherited the Kingdom after his death. https://imgur.com/a/N3dZXFn.

I assumed control over Kingdom of Cordoba (renamed and hybridized Chalonian with Andalusian). It was mostly vassal management like "realm will loose land if this person dies/inherits) stuff. Then came Marie: https://imgur.com/a/MV4Jba6 https://imgur.com/a/xYFZN3R. The best character I played as in my 500 hrs of gameplay. She was a Brilliant Strategist, completed 3 lifestyles, was a wise woman, eager reveler, hunter, pilgrim, friends with all independent rulers involved in the Iberian Struggle, Paragon of Virtue and just look and the Money, Prestige and Piety.

This campaign is my favorite now. The character Marie is my favorite now.

I saw that there were a house of "Nibelungen" and I always wondered how it is to play with them.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
