How to create kingdom of Portugal/Spain?
Hi, first time playing as Galicia and it's year 943 AD and I have conquered all Galician provinces (Duchy of Portucale+Duchy of Coimbra) and provinces of Duchy of Beja and I don't see anywhere button to create kingdom of Portugal. Is it too early? It will unlock in the future? Thanks

Portugal is in the decisions list. Should be there even if you can't complete it yet. You need to be an Iberian character, you need to be a Duke, so if you're King of Galicia you can't do it, you'd need to delete the Galicia title (and any other Kingdoms you have) first. You need to have the Duchy titles for Algarve, Beja, Coimbra and Portucale and you either need to be independent or the Iberian struggle has to be in the Opportunity phase.

Spain doesn't exist in the game. It didn't exist during the game's time period. Hispania is effectively Spain though (albeit one that includes Portugal). If you started in 1066 there's a decision to unite the Spanish thrones which will merge the other kingdom titles with your primary title, it will still be called Castile, Aragon etc. though rather than Spain.

Portugal is a decision as Kapika said. You need to pick all the required duchies (and fully control them) and be of a culture that is able to make Portugal.
If you make another kingdom first, you can´t found Portugal.

As for spain. Well its a unification of some of the "lesser" kingdoms. But you wont get the "Spain name" you could ofc just make a custom kingdom and name it spain.

Here you can see requirements

You can also end the struggle via different means (look at the requirements on the struggle panel) and then after ending it, you can form the Empire of Hispania.

If you RP, it can be a semi challange to take over Iberia (mainly because you never know, what type of character you get and what suits the story you create)
If we just semi RP or wanna paint the map, it is very very easy, to form Portugal and take over Iberia, you can do that in less than 100 years without issues.

Spain existed already since Hispania (same name but in latin) was formed under the Roman Empire as a province and after that, the Visigothic kingdom. there are many texts that proves this is right. For example, during the battle of Covadonga (722).

Meaning "Spain has been occupied by muslims"

During the second council of Lyon, in which Jaime I the Conqueror, King of Aragón (1208-1276) said according the chronicles of that time said "Barons, anar nos ne podem, que huy es honrrada tota Espanya", meaning "Barons, we can go now, because today all of Spain has been honored"

Also, when also he (Jaime I) helped Castille to take back the region of Murcia because there was an insurrection and when the nobles from Aragón asked him why he did that since that was not Aragón territory he told them (again, according to the chronicles of that time) "Nos ho fem, la primera cosa, per Deu; la segona, per salvar Espanya; la terça per que nós haiam tan bon preu e tan nom que per nós e oer vós sia salvada Espanya", meaning "We do it, in the first place, for God; secondly, to save Spain; thirdly, so you and me can have good merit and renown for having saved Spain"
