Game of Thrones Mod for CK3
Do you think with the recent issues that update 1.7.1 caused players,
this will slow things down, or cause setbacks for the GOT mod being released?
Some people on the official reddit group, are saying it could take years before
a playable version of the mod is released.
I loved the CK2 GOT mod, the mechanics were actually better than vanilla GOT mod.

i wish this game was a GoT game. CK3 is good but they really haven't changed all that much. Def don't need DLC and a CK4....

I'm sure there throwing together a hearts of iron V or europa V but why at this point.

Creative Assembly with the Total War has sort of fallen into the same trap. I read someplace they are going to do a Medieval Total War 3 but unless they going to risk alienating people and doing something grand and different.... why

I guess the new games are more for the young generation at this point. Having played paradox games since early 2000's, wish they bring us some new stuff.

I really wish there was a GoT to play, but they aren't getting paid so ya, probably going to be awhile. Will new patches effect development.... I haven't tried to mod paradox games but paradox is good about making old versions of the game available. So I'd imagine the majority of their work is going to be built on a specific "legacy" version so they wouldn't have to worry about constant changes.

Yeah, the issue isn't any particular patch holding them back. The problem is the fact that all the devs have these overblown pet features they insist on putting in and refuse to release without. They literally seem to be refusing to release anything until the entire mod is finished. Which would, in fact, take years. The CK2 mod released with the basic features and one bookmark and the fancier features were added later. Add on to that the fact that most of the features in AGOT CK2 are already in the base game of CK3 and there really isn't any reason why they don't have a release out.

I suspected that might be the case. If it's anything like CK2 was or even better then with the CK3 it would be worth the wait. That is IF it can deliver on the promise.

I wish Paradox and the developers and the GOT mod team would team up and make the game official.

Yeah I noticed this too, what will happen if they keep on this is either burn out or they start cutting some of the dev demands.

You know, they cant do that, right? GoT isnt public use... its a license and paradox would have to pay millions and millions to make a CK3 GoT DLC/Game - and this license would be period
