Creative Assembly with the Total War has sort of fallen into the same trap. I read someplace they are going to do a Medieval Total War 3 but unless they going to risk alienating people and doing something grand and different.... why
I guess the new games are more for the young generation at this point. Having played paradox games since early 2000's, wish they bring us some new stuff.
I really wish there was a GoT to play, but they aren't getting paid so ya, probably going to be awhile. Will new patches effect development.... I haven't tried to mod paradox games but paradox is good about making old versions of the game available. So I'd imagine the majority of their work is going to be built on a specific "legacy" version so they wouldn't have to worry about constant changes.
I suspected that might be the case. If it's anything like CK2 was or even better then with the CK3 it would be worth the wait. That is IF it can deliver on the promise.
Yeah I noticed this too, what will happen if they keep on this is either burn out or they start cutting some of the dev demands.
You know, they cant do that, right? GoT isnt public use... its a license and paradox would have to pay millions and millions to make a CK3 GoT DLC/Game - and this license would be period
