Actually, you could have the free trial back. Just buy the game and test for less than 120 min. If you don't like, return it.

For a free trial, you could just turn on British TV.

Beyond that, CK2 without DLC is free to play, you can give that a spin and see what you think. CK3 is prettier and more streamlined, so it's easier to learn, but the CK2 experience is one that should be missed by no one who calls themselves a gamer.
