Buying a truce does not stop an impending Great Holy War. He took my money, then declared war on me anyway.
BUT
I won! Went all Rob Stark on him and called the banners. Funny, even allies that weren't of my religion liked me enough to join in.
It was whack-a-mole. I lost one battle of out like 20, and that's only because I split my forces and my army was tired at that point. I regrouped a kicked their ass. Despite having 30k total, I think the most the AI ever grouped was 12K?
So my 20k just doomstacked them. Add in Allies, and by the end of the war, the Catholics had 15k total (down from 60k) to our 40k (up from originally 30k)
Allies. Win. Wars.
