Already Bought Console version, do I need to repurchase?
I already bought this game on console do I need to buy it again to play it on Steam? I bought it thinking it would be the same game and I didn't realize it was a base copy with no updates or expansions. Do I need to repurchase this on steam to be able to play it? I can't find a way to download the game from linking my paradox account. The ps5 version ends in 1453 and won't let me continue, there is no option to remove the end date like on pc version.

To play on Steam, you have to buy on Steam

Why would you think you wouldn't have to buy it again to play it on a different platform?

Which console? As has been pointed out, you do not automatically get everything across platforms. Even across PC, it sometimes matters which store you use (Steam, Epic, etc.).

If you bought through Microsoft, though, you may well be in luck. I know they have done a fair bit of work to allow you to play your games wherever you have access to their store. AKA Xbox and PC.

It would not technically be a Steam game still, but you can add a non-Steam game to your Steam library if you really want to go through the trouble. I would just launch through the Microsoft store, personally.

Most likely, though some times places you buy from will also give you a steam key. You would have to check where you bought it if you have one or not.

If not you might as well wait till next month, the royal version with all the DLC will most likely be on sale for around 40-50 dollars. It includes the based game, the court DLC and both flavor packs. it's 75 normally.

the next flavor pack is coming soon, there is a date somewhere.

With Paradox games the console versions tend to lag behind the pc versions by at least a year because all of the new features need to be mapped out to the controllers and ui added or adjusted for those features too.
