Why do I only get daughters?
My second playthrough in a row where I get +10 daughters and NOT ONE son!

Why? I literally lost my dynasty twice because I get 20 daughters in a row in two different saves.

Eh, I've only had ~5 in a row. You could try playing as Hindu/Jain(with Equal gender laws).

Actually there isn't any reason except by the RNG. Just bad luck.

That already happened with me before.

Anyway, you can rule as a woman.

marry Matrilineally with the daughter you will be stuck with as your heir and try to get her to have some sons, they'll be grandsons for your dynasty before you die. If you're on 10 daughters, the oldest ones should be old enough to breed, just make sure the one you'll have to play as your heir is in a Matrilineal marriage, even if it's with a commoner, so you get grandchildren in your dynasty

Wow you really beat the odds.

especially as the chance of a female birth is actually 49%

0.50 ^ 20 = 0.000095 %
0.49 ^ 20 = 0.000064 %

Second playthrough as in second generation, or as in completing the game? Not that it matters in term of the odds, but the more children the more chances of having sons (so if your wife will not give you sons, then you might try concubines or even lovers)

I'm on my third female ruler (this third one was by my own doing, I had to disinherit my (now) two brothers because I finally had a decendant with all three perk-classes; her off-spring RULES perk-wise)

Without checking I have the impression that I too have way more daughters and sons. Not sure if it is pure RNG or if the game is tilted towards daughters (maybe it is genetical as well? If your playthrough is with the same character that might indicate that, if not then pure unluck (or curse I guess they might call it back then))

I'm not even kidding.

Playthrough as in a completely new save. I divorced 3 wives and had a total of 4 (or 5?) different young wives.

I play as ruler in dibri (afirca) in 857 (definitely earliest starting option). I started with one son that was a dwarf. Not sure what is randomized each playthrough. He got captured and died. Would have been 50+ anyway by the time I died.

Same character for both playthroughs? If so then MAYBE it is genetics for that character? (the game is quite deep in some aspects) Or you're just unlucky

Can I ask why you didn't marry one of your daughters matrilineally?

Heh, you sound like louie was it? Kept killing his wives for not "giving" him a son, when in reality the gender is controlled by the man. (is this game the same or just pure random) either way a streak can happen.

Just because you get 20 girls in a row doesn't mean it's impossible, it's just really improbable.

That's funny, I didn't know that.

I probably start another run today and see If I get can get a son as the same ruler.
