How do you increase the number of men of arms you can have?

The number of regiment ? --> it will growth when your culture will discover appropriate innovation. House guard is the typical exemple of inno for that.

Cultural innovations will give you 1 extra each era, and also increasing your rank will give you one extra regiment. A count has 3, a duke has 4, a king has 5, and emperor has 6.

each age of culture has 1 innovation for it. each ruler rank gives +1 and there's +1 increase in dynasty legacy. and there's also increase of heavy infantry man at arms +200 in Norse specific dynasty line.

I believe that's it but may be wrong.

Don't forget you can easily increase the number of men at arms with in each regiment (up to 800 afaik). Unless, maybe you've hit that cap already too.
