Retire King feature or Mod?

I am wanting to find a mod or something similar where I can have my king retire or give up his crown instead of having to end himself for that to happen. Instead of a depressing "You're just the king now," I would like my king to realize his time has passed and to pass his crown onto the rightful heir who he has prepared his whole life for this day. Does anyone know of a mod that works for this?

dunno about a mod, but you can abdicate if you are stressed, or willingly lose a civil war

I know it worked out pretty badly for King Lear.

I wonder if some negatives ought to come with abdication? At least for those cultures who's dynasty as thought to rule by Divine Will.

How does abdication work? Do you just have to be one level of stress or full on max stress?

The wiki lists Abdication as one of six possible outcomes of getting to Stress 3. However, it doesn't say if this is an outcome you can choose or not.
