Promote Cultural Acceptance
I could promote my culture in my holdings or promote cultural acceptance.

Usually I use the former. Now trying the second, but it takes hundert years it seem to get it to 100.

For most cultures when you get to 40% acceptance you can merge with that culture.
This forms a new culture that has base 100% acceptance of both the previous cultures.

You can mix and match the cultural traditions to make a "super culture". You also get all of the technology the other culture has unlocked.

You shouldn't need to be. The only thing you need to culture head to do is Reform a culture, where you just spend prestige to change the ethos or a tradition.

convert some counties around the target cultures, preferably if they are surrounded by their culture, you can get a lot of acceptance from sharing borders with them.

Also, if you have a lot of land over their cultures give them to some lords of yours, they can get events that instantly give you +10 acceptance, each. Plus they all can promote acceptance too individually.
