Mongol Invasion question
I have never tried this but I am considering a start in the mongol area of the map.

What happens to mongol countries when the "mongol invasion" triggers?

Typically, they get conquered or assimilated, unless a few powerful kingdoms mount an unlikely and impressive defense. The most successful AI blob I've ever witnessed had the Mongol Empire stretched from Northern India to Poland, including everything in between: Temujin is an angry Tengri Tsunami!

Pretty sure the Mongol Empire treats other mongols like they do any other realm within their reach.
Unless you actually formed the Mongol Empire yourself in which case I hear you just lose the title without having any say about it.

well, that's no fun.

I suppose the normandy invasion works the same way if you are a norman?

I've never done it but I'm absolutely sure you can beat back the mongols even if you start over there. The Ai really isn't that smart, and just by being able to keep your realm together for the most part for a few generations you'll be miles ahead of most of the ai's.

You don't have to worry about the Mongol Invasion you work your way up to becoming greatest of Khans yourself.

Then you can be the terrifying mongol horde stomping everything in it's path.

Ghengis Khan conquers some stuff, then he dies, the horde splits up and from that point onwards never ever recovers.
Thats my experience, but its also been a while
