Holding feast help, even more if you are a reveler, hunts and more so if you are a hunter etc.
If you are a king or higher and not tribal you can increase lodgings for less stress gain and increase food for more stress loss (during events). Furthermore if you increase lodgings and commision artifacts its probable you'll get higher quality ones, and possibly even ones to help with stress.
Also traits help. For some reason i always get a choice between being callous or compassionate, and honestly i think callous is way better. Or for example being forgiving and compassionate as the leader of a huge Empire with dozens of vassals plotting against you probably is going to be a terrible curse lol. You can't do anything to eliminate plotters without causing yourself stress.
Legacies too, court focus, there is really a lot into it you can do to basically make yourself and your court nearly immune to stress.
My court lodging is at max. I'm an emperor and just used all the decision options like hunting. I can deal with my stress but not with that of my familiy members. Can I lower their stress level?
I also wish family members picked safer options. For some reason it's always a drunk (especially annoying when muslim), flagellant (my bleeder heir got it and died very fast) or some kind of spender giving you fixed income maluses, what kills your progress in early game =_=. Why it's never a hashih or self-isolation based traits? In 500 hours I don't even remember getting an option to be rakish, forget your heirs picking it, you probably must have some lust related traits. Although it's probably a bad one since you can get annoying to look at bonuses with it.
I have too many children for that and even when I'm the guardian I often don't get the event for callous.
If you have too many kids, try pairing up the extras kids with guardians with good intelligence and personality traits you like and the kids will have a decent chance at picking up the same traits.
