Crusader Kings III

Crusader Kings III

View Stats:
Empire titles + HIgh Kingdom of the North Sea
Started as Haraldr I Tanglehair (in Norway).
Gradually took over Kingdoms of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Pomerania, Lapland, Frisia, Scotland, Ireland and finally England.
It's now 1032 and i refromed Asatru some time ago, and i'm looking now to go Feudal, as i have 3500g saved up...but also need to become an Emperor, as i'm +5 over my vassal limit.
I've turned down the offer to 'create an empire', and was going for 'High Kingdom of the North Sea', but i'll have to wait another 23yrs for that to come about and i hear that's its a bit hit and miss.
I now have the option to create Empire of Britannia, and i'm sorely tempted to do that, then go feudal, and forget about the High Kingdom of the North Sea.
Any thoughts or wise words would be much appreciated

Unfortunately this was not the best approach to create the North Sea Empire. If I were you I would start over and reach for Norway, England and Denmark right way and form the empire by mid 900s with the first heir.

I would also recommend to never reform the Asatru faith since you can become feudal via North Sea. This way you keep the military bonus and can raid forever.
