How to change version?
Hi

I need to change the version from 1.5.0.2 to 1.5.0.1 in order to avoid any damage to my save game. I tried to use the old version tab in the game's properties but the newest one is 1.4.4.

Could anyone shed some light into how I could be in the 1.5.0.1 to avoid corrupting my save game? It would screw my achievement progress so badly

Select "none" in beta, will put you on the latest official build.

Wouldn't that corrupt my saved game in 1.5.0.1 if I play it in the 1.5.0.2?

Think something like... right click on CK3 in your steam games list... go to properties.... betas... and choose whichever version you need from that list however there is nothing 1.5.x.x in that list at all that I can see.
Maybe you will need to go into the launcher and go to launcher settings and receive beta versions of the launcher from there? Might work? Haven't tested at all though.

It seems I have to do some weird stuff in Paradox's website to receive a code that I have to put in the code-tab beta section to have access to 1.5.0.1.

I did all the process, but I am unable to retrieve the said code :/

Hey,
I had the same 'problem' with my game being a different version. I tried everything to change back to 1.5.0.1 and had no luck. But then i thought of something so simple I felt stupid. I just loaded my 1.5.0.1 game and 'saved' the game again and then reloaded it. It changed to 1.5.0.2 and I am hopeful that this will fix any problems.

Ey, thanks for the tip!

So it does work that way? I did it when the Royal Court DLC went out and I had a saved game of previous version, but when I logged in all the characters in the game were dying and everything was collapsing. I am afraid this would repeat on my new freshly saved game.

Have you found the codes to rollback to 1.5.0.1 version? I'm also trying to rollback my game but the latest version seems to be 1.4.4, and there's no option to roll back to 1.5

Nop, sadly I am unsuccesful :/

The only thing I can think of is to make a copy of the savegame as a backup and try to do what Cody said. If it works, good, if it doesn't well I have the backup.

This update did not (yet) screwed my saved because I did not risk it. The previous update to this one (Between 1.4 to the DLC court version) did screw my save game.

Since I ignore whether or not this is going to screw is a mystery I wouldn't like to gamble.

I did a backup and I am gonna do a test of what Cody said, but I hope it doesn't screw my savegame.

Cheers

Generally speaking, major updates are the ones with a risk of burning your save, which is why the 1.4 to 1.5 update did so. This current patch is just a hotfix, not a full scale update that adds completely new mechanics.

That is very informative, thanks!
