My game keep crashing, help! (Fixed)
I am playing on an i5 with gtxforce as it's visual game card. I am playing with some mods (including carnalitas) and they are all up to date upto the Royal Court update. But my game kept crashing.

I noticed that everytime it crashed I look at my kaspersky icon and saw it downloading updates and running background scans, but I don't know if it's with my antivirus.

My saves are ruined. Help me please.

Update:
My is now fixed after I have validated my local files. It's working great now.

uninstall your antivirus, and don't run any sus programs. works for me.

if the game crashes while loading, that's probably due to a mod. Even then, you can try loading again, and often it works.

It's probably not the mod since it doesn't crash while loading. Can I somehow disable the antivirus rather than uninstalling it? what do you think?

I think there is something going on with the Royal Court update. Prior to the update, CKIII ran smoothly for me without any issues. Ever since the update, the game has been crashing constantly.

Did you try loading without any mods? Thats my first instinct of it crashing, either one of the mods is broken or two of the mods are clashing.

How can we verify the game? Is there an option somewhere?

Something that could work for you:

Uninstall CK3
Check in Control Panel/Programs if CK3 is still there.
Check if there are any related folder remaining in Steam Folders located at Program Files. If so, delete it.
Delete the game folders in My Documents
Delete everything related to CK3.
Restart PC.
Run any third party app to check the windows register (if you have said program).
Install again.

Try it.

Didn't work yet?

Disable antivirus.
Disable windows defender.
Disable any GPU third party app, like Nvidia Experience.

Try again.

Not yet?

Order a pizza and watch some TV series.

Go to your library, right click on the game, select properties, go to local files and the option is there. It takes time as it's checking all of the games files to make sure they are all there and unaltered and then will download any it finds missing or altered.
