Can I get tips with playing ethiopian jew?
I know its one of the hardest starts in the game but I'm trying it anyways. I'm also trying to get the beta israel achievment.

Could you guys give some tips, I'm already trying to find secrets 24/7 and getting money from them and if the secret is strong enough I make a marriage happen for an alliance (but thats rare). Since so often I get to duchy and y king simply just kills me because I'm a jew. Or if I get lucky i become king but within just 100 years everyone is allies with eachother and declare war on me instantly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I;ve been thinking of making a custom character but I feel likes its cheating to an extent since it will lessen the difficulty.

change contract for religion protection rights. Other option is to kill everyone in line. There are not that many family members of the king nor that many landed characters. In my run the king and his bro went to war. King died and his brother took the thrown. IN that time I took land from the duke over me. Kingdom was just me and the king. He dies in battle without an heir, now i am king.

Custom character is not "cheating", it's the reasonable solution to the developers' absurd choice to limit achievements to Ironman mode.
I'm also working on Beta Israel right now and my approach is starting with a custom Jewish Tribal Duke on Gojjam, 867. The environment is still very anti-Jewish and I still haven't managed to get it; but at least I didn't have to deal with annoying liege and wars don't lead me to bankruptcy. Going Feudal makes sense only when you're large (and developed) enough.

Yeah I had a plan to temporairly covert to get allies but I saw the achievment say stay jewish, so I dont think I can do a fake conversion. right know i was lucky to swear fealty to the abbisids (i know I got the name wrong but one of the main muslim empires) weirldy enough they have left me alone and not ask me to convert.

So I have their protection and thanks to their territory i was able to make a bunch of small allies.

It could have been so much easier if I ould fake convert and convert back to Judaism :(

Note that the achievement is kinda weirdly worded. You have to get the kingdom first, then diverge your culture. I also don't think it allows custom characters. After many failed attempts, I eventually got it in a single character's lifetime. Basically, if you can chain kill the King of Abyssinia fast enough, you can claim the throne of Abyssinia and diverge the culture while the other AIs are still getting set up.

Here's how I got the achievement:
1) Start as the Duke of Aksum, the Jewish ruler down in Eastern Africa, in the 1066 start. If you don't start with at least a decent intrigue score (I had about 12), restart. Ideally, intrigue is your highest stat, and you have an education in intrigue.

2) Boost your intrigue by going skullduggery focus and marrying whoever has the highest intrigue, then setting them to court intrigue spouse task.

3) Immediately swear fealty to the King of Abyssinia under the religious taxation contract. He will accept as long as he didn't spawn in zealous. If he did spawn in zealous, then that's unlucky and you have to restart. He'll then grant you more land because you have the title to it. I don't know why the Duke of Aksum spawns in with the title to a duchy he has no land in.

4) Chain assassinate whoever who has the throne of Abyssinia. Because the kingdom only has a few vassals under it, and you'll be considered a powerful vassal, the king is very likely to make you his spymaster. Even if he doesn't, the king likely won't be well liked, and you can get enough agents together to kill him anyway.

4) Eventually, after about 4-6 murders, the kingdom will run out of good heirs and it will go to a powerful vassal by default, which is you! Yay!

5) Go glory focus and turtle until you have enough prestige to diverge the culture. Don't spend any money on anything other than hunts, feasts, and troops to defend yourself. Don't conquer any new land because that makes diverging your culture more expensive. Feel free to murder nearby rulers just to keep them too unstable to attack you.

It allows custom characters. I've got it after starting with a custom Jewish (Samaritan!) Tribal Duke of Gojjam.

It wasn't that bad for me and my custom Samaritan baby. Certainly not "King of all the Isles". Why, I even had more suffering trying to get a medium achievement like "Wily as the Fox" (because I wouldn't swear fealty to the Byzantine Empire).
Most of the game overs/game restarts are pretty quick. Typically the Coptic slaver duke of Alodia or one the vassals of the King of Abyssinia declares a holy war on you before you have the chance to build up your army/duchy. It could be worse. You could play for days and then lose your chance at the achievement due to a time limit ("Quicker than the Fox"), one of your vassals being overly ambitious on his conquests ("King of All the Isles") or one of your wives cheating on you ("A Full Circle").

Its called Faster than the Fox. Also the time limit is no problem at all. If you go with Haesteinn (which is the fastest route) your main concern is getting murdered by Charles or the other dude who is his rival ( https://youtu.be/vNAccS-OZ0o )

Also Beta Israel is very easy to get

And as far as I understand the OP already got the achievement, but its super easy to get aswell: https://youtu.be/Noxy8ykrHx4

I would recommend creation of the custom character. (I played as radanite jew in khazaria khaganat and had some fun with custom character). Look all that you need - a good start. You can try same start several times until you get some favourable random events (money for mercenary and claims for free) or just build up you character to withstand a harsh start, were is no another path. (I am trying to say, that in the end it is less cheating to customise you character in diplomacy for the early alliance for example, than restarting several times until you get random event that allow you to begin steam rolling).
